Braille Machine now in sight Braille Machine now in sight
Visually impaired students Ian White and Charlotte Parkinson were given a demonstration of the Brallier by a representative from Force 10. The machine will convert text from a PC to Braille using each individuals preferred format. It will also print pictures, spreadsheets and graphs. The A4 size Tiger embosser will cost £2,500. The group now have £1,800 raised by Jacques Andrews sponsored swim and the £500 from Zeneca. They hope to raise the remaining £200 by holding an Easter raffle with prizes donated by businesses in Brixham. Any donations are welcomed. Contact Adult & Community Learning on 01803 853302.
