BRIEF Minutes of ACE Trustee Meeting held Tuesday 26th January 2010

·                     Second half of Care Trust funding now paid

·                     Boules Pitch to be researched for a roll up mat type pitch

·                     Bob to be asked to ensure all volunteers have a name badge

·                     Yvonne to arrange Moving & Handling training for staff and volunteers

·                     Drinks Machine strictly for use by Staff and Volunteers with Thursday Group

·                     No Pressure Pottery Students are now ACE members

·                     Denise would also like to become involved with Website maintenance. She has been asked to Chair Fundraising Committee and asked if she will join the trustees as a co-opted member

·                     Jenny expects to retire in May 2011 which is when the funding for ACL provision runs out. This will have an impact on ACE and more members need to take a proactive role, especially by trying a period as a trustee. Ian to write letter to Stephen Criddle, Principal of SDC, inviting him to visit us to discuss our best strategy to maintain ACE

·                     IW write a standard letter for all ACE members to sign and send to potential MP’s expressing their concerns about the value of Adult Learning and ACE

·                     20 Naval Cadets will undertake work in the garden this weekend

·                     Tarmacing to be paid for after the work has been carried out which is planned for 3 weeks time

·                     Bev suggested we order some Fleeces with ACE Logo and she will take orders

·                     A Yellow folder is available for people to log issues to be dealt with by the Admin team.  Gill to discuss this matter with the Thursday Group

·                     Swimming at Brixham Pool has stopped due to cost of pool, salaries and taxi costs, which are more expensive than Clennon.  Future costs are likely to be £10 per week or £100 per course

·                     The committee agreed to increase travel costs to 40p per mile

·                     The water heater will cost £400 to repair, so it is back to the urn
